Well, look who decided to show up...

That was a long and unexpected absence from blogging. Oops. I don't know why I am so terrible at keeping up with it, since it is something I like to do. I need to just make a bit more time for it I guess.

But we've been a bit busy around here the last month or so.  Husband's mom came to visit us for a week, which was fun, but SO busy.  We put about 1000 miles on my car driving all over northern California.  But we did get to go to Muir Woods finally, which I've been wanting to take Little L there for the longest time, but just haven't gotten around to it.  We just made a brief visit when we drove into the Bay Area to pick up Husband's mom, so I'm thinking it would be nice to go again for maybe a whole day or something like that.  Here are some photos from our trip to SF and Muir Woods.

Little L really loved visiting Muir Woods.  I think he's going to be an outdoorsy kind of kid.  Though, I think most kids are, if you give them the chance to be.

Little L also has started preschool.  Here are a few photos from his first day of school.  He was SO excited.  And still is.  I hope that excitement to go to school continues.  Though I fully expect it to start to wane by the time homework and stuff like that starts becoming a regular thing.

Since I don't want to bombard you with too many photos at once, I'll stop there for now.  I'll add some photos from our trips to Tahoe and Napa tomorrow maybe.

If You're Going To San Francisco...

This past weekend I finally made it out to San Francisco to visit my friend, E. And it just so happened to be Fleet Week when I was there.  It was so much fun!  It makes me wish that I could go visit more often, but considering I am almost 6 months pregnant, and the weather will be getting colder, I don't know that I'll make it out there for a weekend again anytime soon.  Maybe a day trip.

Anyway, it was a really fun weekend getting to eat at some new places, as well as see the military planes flying around the bay.  We even managed to fit in a short trip to a little farmer's market.

At Fort Mason

Blue Angels

some other planes (not sure what kind)

Thanks for the fun weekend, E!
