Back When We Were Three

The day before little A was born, I decided to take L to the park to spend some time hanging out together since not only was I going to be in the hospital for the next several days, but I just wanted to have a little alone time with him before we added another person into the mix.

We had a pretty good time.

We went on a walk on this little trail/path at the park first.  He was a good sport about me wanting to stop and take his picture.

Then we had a mini picnic.

It was a pretty wonderful little afternoon together.  As happy as I am to finally have the baby out, I do miss having more special time with just L and I.

He's such a cool little guy.

Fashionably Late?

Ok, so I'm pretty late for a Valentine's Day post, but I don't care.  I was too busy with a newborn to have posted it on time!  I wasn't really expecting to do anything for the "holiday" since we had just had a baby, and I didn't even think we had anyone (read: my mom) to watch both kids.  But it turned out that my mom had that night off, and so we did get to go out to dinner.  Our movie that we were going to go see was, unfortunately, sold out.  So we just came home and watched something at home until we fell asleep.  And earlier in the day my husband surprised me with a dozen cupcakes delivered from a cupcake store (bakery?).  If you know me at all, you'll know that as nice as I think flowers are, cupcakes are a way better surprise to me.  And they had such a variety of flavors.  Delicious!

I'm Back!

It's been a couple weeks since our wonderful little girl was born, and I think I am finally settled into things enough to begin posting again.  Our little girl was born on February 3rd, and all of us (even big brother L) could not be more in love with her.

Hmm...

I hope this isn't some sort of metaphor for how the baby's birth will go. I don't want anything "rocky" in that department.

Slight Hiatus

I'll be doing a slight hiatus of the photo challenge for the next couple days. I'm going in tomorrow evening to be induced, so I'm busy trying to get things all wrapped up before this little girl gets here. I just don't really have the time to go take photos with an actual camera haha. Plus I want to make sure I have a fully charged battery, and lots of space on my memory card for the duration of the whole birth experience obviously. Though, who knows? Maybe I'll find time/inspiration to take some. Otherwise, expect to mostly just get posts or photos via iPhone I guess.
