Is It Over Yet?

I'm a little less than a week away from my due date, and while I know the whole idea of giving birth again makes me a little nervous, I can't wait to have her here.  And not just cause I can't wait to meet her.  That is the biggest reason, of course.  For the last nine months we've been anxiously awaiting getting to see her, hold her, and all those wonderful things.  But, I am also starting to become extremely uncomfortable. Aches and pains are pretty much a daily occurrence, and sleeping is a difficulty as well.  If life were fair, you'd get the best sleep of your life these last few weeks, instead it seems as though most of us get the worst!  Though, in the end, it is of course all worth it, cause you end up with a cute little person that you will love for the rest of your life.

ABC...Easy As One, Two, Three

So, in an effort to keep up with my New Years Resolutions, I am going to be posting a photo a day with objects or subject matter that starts with each letter of the alphabet.  Hopefully I'll be able to post them every day, or maybe I'll just do a weekly recap if I have to.  We'll see :)  Feel free to participate as well, and leave a link or something below.

Sad Face

photo via EW

I'm sure you've seen the movie The Princess Bride at some point in your life, right? (If you haven't, why not? Go rent it tonight!)  It is a movie that, in my opinion, still holds up to the test of time, and is fabulous and funny.  Well, according to this story, they are remaking it.  This type of thing usually doesn't bother me.  Remakes happen.  But this one actually bothers me!  I don't care if it does have the lovable Paul Rudd and an Oscar-nominated director.  Some movies really should be left alone, and I think this one falls into that category. Now I know how all those people feel about the other remakes Hollywood has been churning out.

Rainy Days

We have about a week's worth of rain coming up.  I could not be more thrilled.  It's winter! It shouldn't be warm enough for short sleeves.  It's nice for a while, but I also love days where I just can curl up and watch a movie without feeling like I'm wasting a nice day.  So even though this rain is making it hard for me to feel motivated to run some errands that I have, I am so glad it is here.

Finally!

Looks like we will finally be getting some wintery weather. Or at least what passes for wintery around here. I honestly can't remember the last time it rained.

Not Much Longer...

We got the baby carseat installed this morning, which L was not too thrilled with actually. I believe he said something along the lines of, "no, I don't want baby sister to sit there." it's the first negative type comment he's had about the new baby, of that can be considered negative really. This baby seat seems a lot bigger once you get it in the car. :( It makes the space feel a bit more cramped.

Three

I can't believe I have a three year old.  He is pretty much the most cool and fun (and sometimes weird haha) little guy I know.  I can't imagine not having him in our lives.

We had his birthday party earlier in the month since days before Christmas isn't exactly an easy time to get people together for a birthday party.  So we took him out for pancakes on his actual birthday.  Pancakes are pretty much his favorite breakfast food (though he'll happily eat them any meal of the day).

Bed Down

So it's not quite a month until my due date (I'm really hoping that I don't go past, but let's face it, it's very possible), and we still haven't picked out any bedding for the baby.  At first there was nothing I saw that I was really all that in love with.  I've been looking around more online the last week or so, and I've been finding more stuff I like.  Of course the stuff I really like is either sold out, on back order, or way more than I want to spend on baby bedding haha.  Part of me wants to just make my own, but I have been having a hard time finding fabric that I really want to use.  There are too many options!  It's hard to narrow it down.  I have to hurry up and decide though, I don't have that much longer!

Resolution Time

Every year we all make resolutions at this time of year.  Do we really keep them?  I usually don't haha.  But, I'm still going to make a list of some resolutions or goals (in no particular order) for the upcoming year, and hope that I do better than I have in the past.

1.  Blog more, haha.  I used to blog several times a week on my last blog.  I've been really terrible about that on this one.  So I hope to post much more regularly.

2.  Lose all the baby weight.  Well, once she's here.  I can't wait to be able to fit back into my old clothes, and also to maybe be in even better shape.  I'd really love to get back into the shape I was in before having either kid.  I'm not sure I'll ever be able to look quite the same, but I'd love to get as close as possible.

3.  Read more.  I had a goal of reading at least 12 books in 2011, and fell short.  I know 12 books is a rather small number, nothing compared to what I used to read.  But having a toddler cuts back on reading time during the day, and then at night I am often too tired to read.  Especially since I've been pregnant.  I was on track to make my goal earlier in the year, but then I think my eyes just started getting tired out.  Maybe I need to go back in and get checked to see if I need reading glasses again for when I read a lot.

4.  Learn to use my new camera.  I got a new camera, and I'd love to be able to use it more effectively, and not just on the auto or preset modes.

5.  Eat healthier/cook more.  I don't know if these are totally the same thing, but they are definitely related.  I'm sure my husband will appreciate the cooking more part.

6.  Be a little more crafty.  And I don't mean sneaky-type crafty.  I always have all these ideas of things I want to make/do, and rarely get around to doing them.  I'd love to tackle some of the projects I have sitting around in idea folders.
